Shah Rukh Khan joins Jungkook for selfie? AI-generated picture sparks social media frenzy

A photo showing BTS member Jungkook taking a selfie with Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan sent social media into a frenzy.

In the viral image, Jungkook appeared in a striped shirt over a white T-shirt, while SRK looked dashing in a sleek black suit.

Fans from both fandoms—ARMY and SRK admirers—celebrated what they believed to be the “crossover of the year.”

However, the excitement didn’t last long. The much-discussed photo was soon revealed to be an AI-generated creation, where Jungkook’s face was digitally swapped with that of Squid Game actor Lee Jung-jae.

The Original Photo Featured Lee Jung-jae

The real image was captured during the Joy Forum 2025 held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The prestigious event brought together global celebrities from film, sports, and digital entertainment. Representing India were Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan.

Lee Jung-jae, the Emmy-winning Squid Game star, had shared the genuine selfie on Instagram with the caption, “Honoured to be with the legendary Mr. @iamsrk.”

In the original version, SRK exudes elegance in his signature black suit, while Lee appears casual in a comfortable hoodie—quite different from the AI-edited version that replaced him with Jungkook.
