The trailer of Kohrra season 2 has officially dropped, and the internet is buzzing with excitement. Netflix’s critically acclaimed whodunit is set to return on February 11, bringing back its signature haze of secrets, crime, and emotional depth. 

The intense visuals, layered storytelling, and gripping murder mystery have already left fans awestruck, with many calling it one of the most promising thriller returns of the year.

While Barun Sobti and Mona Singh once again take centre stage as determined police officers, Rannvijay Singha’s appearance as a Punjabi character has also caught viewers’ attention, adding a fresh dynamic to the narrative.

Netizens praise performances and Punjabi backdrop

Soon after the trailer’s release, social media was flooded with reactions. Fans were quick to praise Barun Sobti’s screen presence, with one user writing, “Barun is such a terrific actor… he always performs so perfect.” Mona Singh’s role also received strong appreciation, with a fan commenting, “Happy for Mona! She’s a good actress and I’m so happy to see her find good roles.”

Several viewers highlighted the strong Punjabi flavour of the series, noting that the characters speak more Punjabi than Hindi. 

“It feels like I’m watching a Punjabi web series trailer,” one user remarked. Another praised the overall atmosphere, writing, “The perfect cast, Punjabi village vibes and the story make this series a masterpiece.” 

Many fans also revisited the impact of the first season, calling it a masterpiece and expressing high expectations for the second instalment.

A darker mystery set in Dalerpura

Set in the small town of Dalerpura, Kohrra season 2 revolves around the murder mystery of a woman, intertwined with family secrets, power struggles, and hidden agendas. The trailer hints at a denser and more layered investigation, packed with suspenseful characters and unexpected twists.

Speaking about his role, Barun Sobti shared that the mystery this season is more complex and reflective of his character Garundi’s inner journey. He described Garundi as more introspective and guarded, adding that season 2 pushed him as an actor in new ways.

Co-directed by Sudip Sharma and Faisal Rahman, Kohrra season 2 promises a gripping return to its dark, immersive world — one that fans are eagerly waiting to explore once again on Netflix.
